A wireless Bluetooth light that turns on whenever any app uses your mic or camera.
Coin-cell powered. No cable. No Zoom plugin. MeetHead checks your microphone and camera at the system level, so it catches Zoom, Teams, Meet, Discord, OBS and everything else. Your partner, roommate and dog finally get a signal they can read.
Price excludes VAT and shipping, both added at checkout. Hand-built by one person.
See it work. One take, no editing.
A real unit pairing with a computer and lighting up the moment the microphone or camera goes live.
How it works
Three steps. Nothing to set up per app.
Pair over Bluetooth
Open the MeetHead app on your computer and connect the light. It talks over Bluetooth Low Energy, so there is no cable on your desk.
The app watches your mic and camera
It reads the operating system's own microphone and camera state. It does not care which app is calling.
The light turns on
The moment any app goes live, MeetHead glows red. When the call ends, it goes dark.
Why not just buy a busy light?
Most status lights are built for meeting rooms and offices. MeetHead is built for one desk.

Please buy one. That's how I find out if this is worth building.
I have 20 working units. That is the whole point of this campaign: I want to know whether anyone actually needs this.
Every order is a vote. More votes mean I can order boards in larger quantities, and boards bought in bulk are cheaper. A better price per unit is what makes a second batch possible, with the changes people ask for: other LED colors, a different form factor, a rechargeable battery and a charger.
So don't wait and see. If you would use it, back it. If I sell the 20, I'll know it is worth doing properly.
Real hardware, built by hand
A Bluetooth LE radio module, a small board, a CR2032 coin cell and a 3D-printed case. The boards come from a PCB manufacturer. The cases are printed at home, and I solder and assemble each unit myself.
This is the first batch. The design will change in Batch 2.

Questions
Does it only work with Zoom?
No. MeetHead watches your computer's microphone and camera at the system level, so it lights up for any app that uses them: Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, Discord, OBS, voice recorders and more. There is no per-app integration.
Is it wireless?
Yes. It connects over Bluetooth Low Energy and runs on a CR2032 coin cell. No cable.
Do I need a specific headset?
No. It is not tied to any headset. It reads your computer's microphone and camera state directly.
Which computers does it work with?
Windows now (Microsoft Store). macOS is in App Store review. Linux support is planned but has not been tested yet.
How long does the battery last?
It depends on how many calls you take. I will publish real-world numbers when my long-term battery tests are finished. Batch 2 is planned to be rechargeable.
What if the campaign fails?
Kickstarter is all-or-nothing. If the goal is not reached, nobody is charged and no units ship.
Show me this is worth making.
Back the pilot batch on Kickstarter. Your order is the clearest answer I can get.
